about

Spina continues diving deeper and deeper into the experiments with electronic sound. In this time, it's our great pleasure to introduce two musicians from the city on the Neva river creating their compositions based on digital signal processing techniques and algorithmic approach. The work of Andrey Svibovitch lies on the basis of voice samples processing: their deconstruction and subsequent manipulations allow to create a completely new palette which is used for designing abstract sound canvases. For the first time, this work has been presented at MARS Center during "Life Zone" exposition (Moscow, 2015) as an audio-visual installation prepared in collaboration with video artist Maxim Svishev. On the B-side, one can find Pure Data experiments of Sergey Vandyshev. He is engaged in electronic music composing for a long time, but his debut performance took place only this year with the support of Spina. Creating digital generators with the granular synthesis algorithms, Sergey gets the very interesting timbres which self-organize in an almost song compositions.
